Greenply Industries Ltd.., leader in plywood and laminate industry in India, today reported a Net Sales of Rs 167.05 crores for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, a jump of 10.66% as against Rs 150.97 crores posted in the same period of the last fiscal.
Net Profit for the fourth quarter stood at Rs 8.58 crore, a decline of 1.02 % as compared to Rs 8.67 crores posted in the same period of last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for Q4 FY09 worked out to Rs 5.05 as compared to Rs 4.78 in Q4 FY08. The operating margin for Q4 FY09 was at 11.39% as against 13.61% recorded in Q4 FY 08.
Net sales for the year ended March 31, 2009 grew by 33.79% to Rs 724.86 crores compared to Rs 541.79 crores in the year ago period, while net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009 down by 3.69% to Rs 37.31 crore, as against Rs 38.73 crores posted in the same period of last fiscal.
Earnings Per Share (EPS) for FY09 worked out to Rs 21.95 as compared to Rs 22.47 for the same period last fiscal. The operating margin for FY08 was at 13.09% as against 14.77% recorded in FY 08.

Greenply Industries Ltd.., leader in plywood and laminate industry in India, today reported net sales of Rs 177.54 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, registered a growth of 3.48% as against Rs 171.56 crore posted in the same period of the last fiscal.
EBIDTA margin for the first quarter was 12.30%, as compared to 13.64% in the corresponding quarter in the last year. Net Profit for the first quarter stood at Rs 10.92 crore, as compared to Rs 6.96 crore posted in the same period of last year, registered a growth of 56.96%.
Earnings per share (EPS) for Q1FY10 worked out to Rs 6.43 as compared to Rs 4.09 in Q1 FY09.

Greenply Industries Ltd.., leader in plywood and laminate industry in India, reported today net sales of Rs. 207 crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 compared to Rs. 136 crores in corresponding period of last fiscal year, registering an increase of 53 %.
Net Profit for the second quarter stood at Rs. 11.44 crores, a marginal growth of 2 % as compared to Rs. 11.19 crores posted in the same period of last fiscal year. Earnings per share (EPS), diluted has increased by 2% to Rs. 6.73 as compared to Rs. 6.58 in corresponding period of last fiscal year. The operating margin (excluding other income and loss on foreign currency fluctuation) for Q2 FY09 was at 12.57% as against 15.94% in Q2 FY 08.
Exports have registered a growth of 81% to Rs. 18.46 crores in this quarter from Rs. 10.20 crores in the corresponding quarter in the last year.
Net sales for the half year ended September 30, 2008 grew by 50 % to Rs. 378 crores compared to Rs. 252 crores in the corresponding period of last fiscal year, while net profit for the half year ended September 30, 2008 down by 9% to Rs. 18.40 crores, as against Rs. 20.26 crores posted in the same period of last fiscal year.
Earnings per Share (EPS) diluted for H1 FY09 worked out to Rs. 10.83 as compared to Rs. 11.92 for the same period of last fiscal year. The operating margin (excluding other income and loss on foreign currency fluctuation) was at 13.05% as against 15.27% in corresponding period of last fiscal year.
Exports have registered a growth of 59% to Rs. 31.71 crores in the H1 FY09 from Rs. 19.96 crores in the corresponding period in the last year.

Will roll out 12.15 lac sheets primarily catering to the export market
Nalagarh, 23rd Oct 09: Greenply Industries Limited (GIL), India’s largest interior infrastructure company today announced the commencement of its 2nd press at their recently operational laminate manufacturing unit situated at Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh. The 1st Press commenced its production in June 2009 around 4 months ahead of schedule and is now is running at full capacity. Greenply’s manufacturing unit is spread across 17 acres area with a built up area of approx 250000 Sq. ft and projects a full capacity utilization of 65% in export and the rest produce will be sold locally. The 3rd Press will commence production in early 2010 subsequent to which Greenply’s market share will increase to 35% of organized laminate industry from present 20%.
Greenply has invested Rs.105 crore in this new unit and expects a revenue generation of about Rs.250 crore when completely operational and will have a production capacity of 2.7 lacs sheets monthly and 3.3 million sheets (12.64 mn Sqm) yearly. The new manufacturing unit will produce products like compact laminates and laminates in 3 different formats (6’x12’, 5’x12’, 4.25x10’, and 4’x10’) apart from the present (4’ x 8’) format of laminates. The total capacity of each press is 12.15 lac sheets per annum and on 100% utilization will generate revenue of Rs. 120 crores. The manufacture of these new products will strengthen the position of the company in the international markets, such as US, Europe, parts of Asia, South Africa and Australia.
Addressing the media Mr. Saurabh Mittal, JMD & CEO, Greenply Industries Ltd said, “It gives me great pleasure to see the commencement of the 2nd Press at our Nalagarh Unit, we hope that with its commencement we are able to open up avenues for the company on a larger scale in the international market and unexplored market in the country. The production of new range of laminates will help incorporating innovation and creativity to the interior sector as they have a global appeal which will help in improving the revenue generation through exports. We expect a rise of about 35% of the market share in the organized laminate industry with the establishment of this set up which is 20% at present and look forward to generate employment of around 1500 workers at full capacity including direct and indirect employment.”

While the outer core displays products which can be touched, there are various punctures in the inner core which provides various niches utilized for exhibiting a variety of ambiences and moods so that materials can create innumerable looks such as country, minimalist, ethnic, classic, Victorian, contemporary etc. The graphics are inspired by natural surroundings and trace its etchings on the panels as backdrops to their colours and designs.
